Did you know?
Now, TAP has made available a digital Entertainment Guide (PDF, 18 MB, PT, EN) containing all existing multimedia content found on our aircrafts’ inflight entertainment; this publication may also be downloaded via the Digital Kiosk, without the need for a booking reference.
What are you waiting for?
Digital kiosk: another way to read on-board.
Sit back and enjoy the trip. Happy reading!
TAP has made available a new feature that can only bring more advantages: do you know that your in-flight reading is now available on the screen of your mobile device?
This free service is available via the TAP mobile app (valid only for TAP Clients travelling on flights operated by the company).
The newspapers and magazines must be downloaded after you check in for your flight, and can be read offline on your smartphone or tablet.*
How does it work?
To see what titles are available, input your reservation code in the option “Add Reservation”. The code, which consists of six alphanumeric digits, is printed on your boarding card and is included in e-mail and text notifications.
1. Open the TAP app Kiosk Menu
2. Add booking – input booking details
3. Check in
4. Download titles
5. Read titles
Downloaded publications will be available only after check-in is complete and their management is the responsibility of the TAP Client. Downloaded and deleted titles cannot be changed or replaced. Please confirm that the first and last name on your 'Flight Details' is the same as the information on your electronic ticket. This service is not available for flights from La Coruña and Oviedo.
Depending on the rules of your fare, you will have access to a different number of publications on each flight, just as happens now with paper publications:
- tap|executive: can download up to seven different titles;
- tap|plus: has three titles available;
- tap|classic and tap|basic: can download two titles;
- tap|discount: has access to just one title.
Victoria Silver Clients can download three titles, while Victoria Gold Clients can download up to seven titles. If you hold a tap|corporate card or a TAP AMEX Platinum card, you will have access to seven titles (except when travelling on tap|discount, when the rules of the fare apply).
Access to digital publications is not only more comfortable when travelling, but it also contributes to a more eco-friendly environment, to which TAP retains a firm commitment.
* When you download the titles allowed by your tariff during the check-in period – up to 72 hours prior to boarding – on the day of the flight you will only have access to the publications already downloaded, meaning that, in the case of daily newspapers or magazines, the content may be out of date.
This feature is available now on Android, iOS, Windows Phone and Windows 8 (from version 8.1) devices.
As from 01 September 2015, free physical newspapers and magazines will only be available in business class on long haul flights, in the ANA Schengen Lounge, Blue Lounge an in the TAP Premium Lounge at Funchal. Outside Portugal, you can still find physical newspapers in the Star Alliance Lounge (São Paulo - Guarulhos), Sala VIP (São Paulo – Viracopos), LH Lounge (New York), Italviages Lounge (Caracas), LAM (Maputo) and Sala Welwicha TAAG (Luanda).
