City Break

It is still strange that Brussels, from a touristic point of view, is a city absent from the European circuits. The city's name refers, almost automatically, to its political and, for many, this implies a lack of charm and interest. However, Brussels is a capital that guarantees many surprises, from monuments to a great offer of culture and leisure.

Brussels is a city for all ages, to discover as a couple or for touring with the family. Brussels is the capital of European Politics. This image reinforces the idea of gray city (and it is but due to the weather), but a less judgmental look will discover a wide range of leisure and culture, along with beautiful historical buildings. Museums and festivals are joined with a daily filled and varied agenda and an amazing nightlife, which has a different color due to the presence of citizens from various countries. If the Atomium is the most popular attraction of the city it is at the same time a symbol of the future, Grand'Place, considered one of the most beautiful squares in Europe and a good example of the historical heritage of Brussels (from Gothic to Baroque) that includes the Cathedral Saints-Michel-et-Gudul. Still, this is the capital of Art Nouveau, which can be seen in the buildings such as the Cartoon Museum or La Hotel Metropole. For its grandeur, you should visit the Basilica of Koekelberg (Sacred Heart). Taking into account its cosmopolitanism, in Brussels you will find a variety of restaurants, cafes and bars, with varied influences, but always ideal to regain strength. Be sure to try the traditional waffles, the famous French fries and delicious Belgian chocolate truffles. To feel the throb of social life in Brussels, drink a beer before dinner.
