City Break

It prides itself on being one of European cities with better quality of life. And for this distinction, the reasons are many, from culture to entertainment, through the green areas, the beautiful castles and a strong connection with the River. The city's environmental policy also forbids the circulation cars in several areas

One of the most pleasant ways to get to know Dusseldorf is by boat. Between February and October enjoy the mild climate and travel across the waters of the Rhine with no rush. Discover the beauty and contrasts of the city on a trip, departing Bruglplatz and passing through the Old Town and the harbor (MediaHafen), a symbol of modernity in Dusseldorf. You can then do the opposite way through the pedestrian area, along the waterfront. After a well deserved rest in one of the many cafés and walk down the wide avenue of Königsallee, many compared it to the Champs Elysées or to 5th Avenue, given the amount luxury brand stores. Do not miss the numerous palaces and gardens, truly a trip to the past and a tribute to the aristocratic romanticism, as the Palace Benrath currently houses the Corps de Logis Museum, the Museum of Gardening and the Museum of Natural Sciences. Not to be missed is a long stroll across the Old Town (Altstadt) to enjoy the narrow streets filled with churches and other monuments, which take you back in time to the Middle Ages. The cultural agenda is intense and the restaurant offer as well the nightlife venues have a quality that makes Dusseldorf an ideal City Break, accompanied by a typical beer.
