For many the season is not exactly inviting, but for others winter is synonymous with skiing holidays. Warsaw gains greater beauty with the snow, however, you need to leave town and go to the mountains to ski

To make the most of the winter season in Poland you must schedule your trip for the cooler months, between late November and mid March. In the Polish capital there are no ski resorts, but the city takes on an extraordinary beauty with the arrival of the first snowfalls. However, there are dozens of places to practice ice skating. The ski resorts are located in the Polish Tatra Mountains, near the southern border with the Czech Republic and Slovakia, especially in Zakopane. Every year, the number of tourists increases, searching for moments of adrenaline, but also contact with nature. The tracks are normally small, but rewarding. Zakopane is considered the Polish capital of winter sports. At the foot of the mountains, very close to the Tatra National Park there are excellent ski and snowboarding tracks, in particular Kasprowy Wierch and Nosal (stage to international Jumping competitions) supported by ski lifts and several other infrastructures such as schools and restaurants. As for hotels, the offer includes all tastes and budgets. In Zakopane, Nordic skiing is gaining more and more practitioners. In Poland, you find several parks where you can snowboard, with different slopes and "half pipes".
