General conditions

Online check-in is available to passengers with confirmed bookings on TAP/Portugália-operated flights. 
 
It is open from 48 hours to 90 minutes before departure, except airports where check-in is made by our partners enabling check-in 23 hours in advance.
 
Departures from Luanda: check-in is open from 48 hours to 5 hours before departure.
 
For passengers travelling with or without luggage. It  allows them to print their boarding pass immediately. 
 
If you have not provided your Victoria number during the booking and wish to credit your miles, you have to keep your boarding passes with you.
 

Online check-in is available in the following countries:

  • Algeria (Algiers)
    You can pick up your boarding pass at the airport. 

  • Angola (Luanda – available only from 48 to 5 hours before flight departure)

  • Austria (Vienna)
    NOTE: For departures from these cities you will be redirected to our partner Austrian Airlines for your online check-in. If you wish to contact us, please go to the TAP check-in desk at the airport.

  • Belgium (Brussels)

  • Brazil (Belo Horizonte, Brasília, Fortaleza, Natal, Porto Alegre, Recife, Rio de Janeiro, Salvador and São Paulo)
    NOTE: Whether or not you are travelling with baggage, you MUST go to the tap|executive desk for the boarding charge stamp to be placed on your boarding pass, without which you will not be allowed access to the gate. In Rio de Janeiro, please go to desk 35. Exception: Sao Paulo, Guarulhos.

    Due to government restrictions, TAP is only allowed to open its flights for check-in, to/from USA, 24h before the scheduled time of departure.

  • Venezuela (Caracas)
    You can pick up your boarding pass at the airport.

Important Notes

  • If you have been asked to confirm your credit card information in person at a TAP desk or during check-in, you will not be able to check in online.
  • After going through security and passport control, if necessary, passengers must go to the boarding gate at the time indicated on their boarding pass and show their ID and travel documentation to the ground staff at the gate.
  • Service not available for holders of resident and student tickets.
  • Service not available for passengers who have special requests or facilities attached to their booking such as the unaccompanied minor service, wheel chair service or other special assistance requests, plus the transport of pets either in the cabin or in the hold.
