TAP Portugal

Among tapas and seafood, and the rising of the sun over Malaga’s beaches, there are hours and hours of fiesta to be had, filled with conversation, live music and dancing.

Tapas, paellas, tortillas e pescaíto frito are typical dishes that deserve to be eaten in the tranquillity of one of the many restaurants that the city has to offer. Everything here starts late; therefore there is plenty of time to discover these specialities. You can choose the magical setting of the historical centre or take a stroll down to the promenade. Seafood lovers should visit the areas close to the beaches of Huelin, El Palo, Malagueta and Pedregalejo. Restaurants such as El Tintero or Adolfo are among the most sought after. Once done with dinner, whoever decides on the historic centre should follow the flow of youngsters, especially between Thursday and Saturday night, wandering down the streets that offer countless bars with dance floors and live music. For those who prefer a bit of tranquillity in which to enjoy conversation, the best places are the bars and cafés in the Plaza de la Merced located at Calle Granada, Alcazabilla, Plaza de Uncibay, Convalecientes, Comedias, Luis de Velázquez and Santa Lucía. Near the beaches of Malagueta and Pedregalejo there are places that are just as tranquil. Away from the city there are recreational centres such as the Plaza Mayor or the Malaga Nostrum and vast entertainment complexes which include cinemas, nightclubs, bowling allies and bars.
