City Break

The music capital, the imperial Vienna, on the banks of the Danube this is a mandatory city. The heritage and fantastic cultural dynamics ensure a memorable stay. The most difficult will be finding time to see and appreciate the symbolic places of the Austrian capital. So, before you go, prioritize the sites to visit.

Built on the banks of the Danube, Vienna is synonymous with Mozart and Freud. The Baroque influence is present in the architecture, but there is also a new city, fully integrated into the new design trends of the XXI century. The MuseumsQuartier (museum quarter) opened in 2001, is one such example, being devoted to contemporary art. On a City Break visit, it will be difficult to discover this "new" Vienna, therefore, you must prioritize places such as the Imperial Palace (Hofburg), the Opera, the Burgtheater (National Theatre), the Spanish Riding School and other places that are the city’s highlights like the Schonbrunn Palace (former summer palace of the Habsburg imperial family), St. Stephen's Cathedral, the Museum of Fine Arts, Ringstrasse, the Belvedere Palace and the town council building (Rathaus). On a cultural level the offer is vast and for every taste. One of the most interesting ways to discover Vienna is on a cruise along the Danube. On the top of the Danube Tower, 352 meters high, enjoy an exceptional panoramic view over the city. Depending on the season, include in your agenda an opera show, a coffee in one of the many terraces and a stroll through the magnificent gardens. Do note that the winters are harsh.
