Arriving in Luanda by plane, the bay gives you a warm welcome with all its beauty, day or night. This is the first contact with a large city in growth and development, where African and European characteristic feature. The weather is pleasant, but very humid, during the rainy season between September and May temperatures are higher. Move across chaotic Luanda requires some care. The African identity and the joy of the population are clearly visible, being it in the natural beauty, whether in music or crafts. Even if on a short trip to Luanda you cannot fail to visit the Mirador da Lua - Viewpoint of the Moon (about 40 kilometers from downtown), which allows a breathtaking view of the cliffs that remind the lunar landscapes. In the city visit the Iron Palace, an historical monument located downtown in Luanda, whose architecture many assign to Gustave Eiffel, the National Museum of Slavery and the Fortress of São Miguel, which is now the Central Museum of Armed Forces. The best choice of bars and restaurants is located on the island of Luanda, which is linked to the Marginal and one of the city’s landmarks, currently under redevelopment. A few kilometers from the center is Mussulo, the primary site of leisure in Luanda, thanks to its white sandy beaches, warm waters and coconut palm trees.
