Budapest

Born from the merge of Danube’s banks over a century ago, becoming today a cohesive and unified city of contrasts. On one side the hills and winding lanes, on the other a historical zone of tradition and monuments. In between, several bridges to ensure this union.

Located on the banks of the river Danube, the capital of Hungary has more than 1, 7 million inhabitants. Founded in 1873, it was born from the merge of two cities (Buda on the right bank and Pest on the left bank) which is now the largest city and one of the most visited. Also due to the fact of being crossed by the Danube, one of the most important rivers in Europe, made it became a strategic point of commercial trade. Who goes there does not miss the opportunity to make a trip down the Danube, which has a cruise for tourists throughout the region's history and shows you the most beautiful panoramas of the city. Most sought in the area, are also the Thermal Baths and spa. Budapest is today a city where can one breathe a European experience. Its cultural life is intense and has attractions for all tastes. The highlight goes to its many bridges (the best known being the Széchenyi Lánchíd - Chain Bridge) and buildings such as the Buda Castle (Budai Var) and Parliament (Orszaghaz). Average temperatures are around 11 or 12 degrees, ranging from a negative degrees in January and 22 degrees in July.
