Business Traveller awards (United Kingdom) are acknowledged as a reference within the business tourism industry and cover 46 categories ranging from hotels, airline companies to rent-a-car and travel accessory brands. The readers of Business Traveller magazine in the United Kingdom were interviewed between April and June of 2008 and the results were analyzed by an independent market survey company.

In addition to the award as Best Airline Company Alliance, another 17 prizes were awarded. Of these, eight were given to airline companies belonging to the Star Alliance:
