The visually Impaired

Visually impaired passengers should notify TAP of their condition when making their reservation even when traveling with a guide-dog. Special assistance will be arranged for at the airport until departure time. Passengers should proceed to the Special Needs’ desk.

Conditions for Acceptance of Guide-dogs on board:

In the event a passenger is visually impaired and travels with a dog for the purposes of guidance, TAP should be notified of this and the same shall be treated as a guide-dog pursuant to the conditions referred to below:

- The animal must use a muzzle and leash, and may not move about the aircraft or occupy a seat.

Please note that to some countries such as the United Kingdom and South Africa the transportation of animals is not permitted, not even for guide dogs of the visually impaired.
