Performing an Online Check-in is very easy. It is for those who travel with ou without baggage. You just need to follow these 3 steps.

Step 1

First we need to identify your flight and your reservation. You can choose to do so using your frequent flyer number (if you indicated it when you made your reservation), or using your eletronic ticket number.

Step 2

In this phase your check-in process has already been completed. If you would like, you may choose a seat that is most convenient for you.

Step 3

In order for your check-in process to be concluded, you will need to print your boarding card. If you have any difficulties with the printing, please click here to know the solutions. If your seat is changed after already having completed check-in, a boarding card should be printed again.

The Online Check-in is available:
  • From 24 hours in advance and 90 mins. prior to your flight's departure.
    Except for Luanda: from 24 hours in advance and up to 5 hours prior to your flight's departure.
  • For passengers holders of electronic ticket with confirmed reservations on flights operated by TAP or Portugalia.
  • For passengers traveling with or without baggage. If traveling with baggage, check here which desks and baggage delivery time limits apply at airports.


    For flights departing from the following cities
    to the entire TAP network (except for the USA):

    • Angola (Luanda - only available from 24 hours in advance and up to 5 hours prior to your flight's departure)
    • Belgium (Brussels)
    • Brazil (Belo Horizonte, Brasilia, Fortaleza, Natal, Recife, Rio de Janeiro, Salvador, Sao Paulo)
      NB: When travelling with or without baggage you MUST proceed to the tap|executive class ticket desk so the boarding fee seal can be affixed to your Boarding Card without which you will not be allowed access to your boarding gate.
    • Croatia (Zagreb)
      NB: For this city of departure, you will be directed to our partner Swissport in order to do your online check-in.

IMPORTANT NOTES:

This service is not available to passengers on resident or student ticket tariffs.

In case you haven't indicated your Victoria Number on your reservation and wish to credit your miles please keep your boarding passes.

If you have been asked to confirm your credit card details in person at a TAP ticket desk or during your check-in you will not be able to check-in online.

Advanced Passenger Information System (APIS)
This system has been adopted by several countries and requires airline companies to collect specific information about each passenger. 
If your itinerary includes one or more of these countries, you will be asked to provide identification details during the online check-in procedure and before you are able to print your boarding pass.
Data include your passport or identity card number and expiry date, country of issue, first and last names, sex, date of birth and nationality.
