Since then, the company has steadily conquered a position of importance in the handling segment, both on a national and international level.

Groundforce Portugal offers, as part of the 6th largest handling services group worldwide, an increasing range of improved services based on the experience of the companies which it is heir to.

Added to 60 years of TAP handling services’ experience, the dynamism of Portugália and the internationalization afforded by the dimension of the Grupo Globalia, Groundforce Portugal aims to be one of the 10 largest Ground Assistance Service providers on a worldwide scale and dominant in a niche of the Ibero-American/African market.

Primarily, Groundforce Portugal ’s mission is to be a high quality service provider on a national and international level, guaranteeing the airline companies that are its clients, a high standard of satisfaction and service consistency based on the professionalism and experience of its employees, as well as in relation to its social role.

In truth, Groundforce Portugal ’s strength lies in the quality and experience of its more than 2,800 employees, distributed throughout its service centers/headquarters, equipment maintenance and operational units located at Portugal ’s main airports.

With a stable client portfolio, proof of its recognition as a consistent, reliable and indisputable aggregate value as a service provider, Groundforce Portugal serves practically 100% of the regular airline companies and flag airlines flying from the airports where it operates. In 2004, it provided services for 477 airline companies in Lisbon , Porto , Faro, Funchal and Porto Santo, helping 15,186,090 passengers and handling more than 106,000 tons of cargo.

Facing the future with optimism, Groundforce Portugal is geared towards an ambitious internationalization project, while at the same time intending to ensure the consolidation of its position at national airports.
