In the lead of the Portuguese airfreight transport market, TAP Cargo alone transported in 2004 close to 67 thousand tons of cargo and mail to nearly 40 destinations in 22 countries.

TAP Cargo has a good of maximising management results through the best use possible of available space for cargo and mail in the holding areas of the TAP aeroplanes and also by exploring new business opportunities.

Counting on growth through modernisation efforts translated into the offering of new products and new procedures, amongst which can be highlighted:

• Joining with GF-X and the capability of cargo agents being able to carry out on-line reservations, using this platform.
  
• The offering of new added value products, such as: express cargo, which allows for the shipment of small packages with maximum priority, or the Must Go Door whose launch is planned for the near future and which consists of the delivery of cargo at the final destination (airport – door transport).
• The creation of partnerships which allow the offering of a wide network of destinations, coming to the meeting search point by the clients.
