Morocco is especially good with luxury tourism -- film celebrities, politicians or businessmen, which makes golf one of Marrakesh's greatest experiences. One of the advantages is the fact that the sun and the nice weather are almost a constant. Trips to practice golf are almost guaranteed success.

Marrakesh has three main golf courses. The most well-known is also the oldest, entitled to a royal title: Royal Golf (www.royalgolfmarrakech.com), open since 1923. This course, where Winston Churchill or King Hassan II of Morocco have played, has the greens and the fairways turned to the Atlas range. There are 18 holes with par 72 and the green fee for visitors is of 500 dirhams (around 50 euros). The price is another advantage for playing in Marrakesh. In general, golfing is cheaper here than in Europe. The Amelkis Golf Club is the second-oldest in Marrakesh. There are two courses with 18 holes – both with par 72 – and it is located near the Royal Golf Club which means that, if you go to Marrakesh in the winter, you will be putting under a hot sun, with a view to the mountains. Playing here costs approximately 40 euros. Booking through +212 44 40 44 14.The third course is called Palmeraie Golf Club (www.pgpmarrakech.com) and is located 15 minutes northeast of the city. It has a more American style, thanks to its seven lakes, palm trees and several bunkers.
