Shopping

Shopping in Vienna can be synonymous with ruin, to judge by the luxurious outdoor shopping center in which they have transformed the streets of downtown. There are items for every taste and for the different wallets, as well as a wide variety. On Saturday you cannot miss out on Naschmarkt, the most famous of Vienna.

On a relaxed afternoon of shopping you can go across exotic coffee shops, chocolates of all kinds, antiques and crystals. At least these are the most purchased items by tourists. Dare to go through the small pedestrian streets of the old city with all kinds of stores, from jewelers to antique shops, art houses and designer clothes. The most typical shopping street is the Kärtnerstrasse, with its shops and cafes, and the most elegant and expensive Kohlmarkt (which has brands like Dior, Cartier, Gucci and Chanel). It will be worth entering in Phil, which is coffee shop, furniture store, bookstore and movie theater or buy a Lomo in Lomoshop (located in the center of the Museum Quarter). On Saturdays, you have a great opportunity to see the market turmoil, the most famous in Vienna. The Naschmarkt sells food from all over the world (Greek olives, Italian cheeses, French wines, coffee and Turk cookies and Austrian vinegar), but also flowers and various trinkets. The market, built over the Danube River, can be a good alternative for those who do not want to spend much on meals. Around Easter, visit the typical markets full of artistically decorated eggs and many goodies for kids and adults. The most famous is at Schönbrunn Palace.
