European Flights:

Schengen Destinations: (Germany, Austria, Belgium, Denmark, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Estonia, Finland, France, Greece, Hungary, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxemburg, Malta, the Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Czech Republic Sweden and Switzerland, as well as Island and Norway (non EU members): 1hr prior to flight departure (Recommended: 2 hrs.).

Non-Schengen Destinations: 90 min. prior to flight departure (Recommended: 2 hrs.).

Intercontinental Flights: 90 min. prior to flight departure (Recommended: 3 hrs.).

NB: All passengers must be at their boarding gate without exception 30 mins. prior to flight departure.

Note:

• In Frankfurt, London (Heathrow) and Zurich, traditional check-in desks have been replaced by bag drop-off desks. Passengers will need to check-in online before they arrive at the airport or use the self check-in machines at the airport.
• Business Class check-in desks operate as before at these airports.
• Unaccompanied minors and passengers with reduced mobility should use the check-in desks in the specially designated area.

Check-in at TAP Sales Outlets at Lisbon and Porto Airports

From October 16 2006 TAP passengers traveling without luggage to any European destination – Schengen area – may check-in directly at TAP sales outlets at Lisbon and Porto airports when purchasing their respective tickets with immediate departure.

NB: This service is not available on flights that require document checks, namely to all international destinations.
