SKYBAGS service is an innovative Home Check-in service, exclusive for TAP flights departing from Lisbon Airport, for those that travel with luggage.

Now, for just 25 € per passenger, you can check-in from the comfort of your home, office or hotel and leave your luggage to us, through a personalised and unique service in Europe. This price includes the the amout of luggage, with the correct sizes and weights allowed by the airline.

  • We practise special prices for children.
  • Extra pieces of luggage, excess dimensions or weight will be charged on the day of picking up, according to the airline price table plus the surcharge of €1 per each Kg in excess.
  • Groups of more than 6 people to the same flight and pick-up address benefit from special offers. Please contact our Service Center.

When your flight is due, all you need to do is head to the passenger desk luggage-free and pick up your boarding-pass and begin your trip in the best way possible, stress-free, no lines, no effort.

On the eve of your flight

One of our employees, duly uniformed and identified comes to your address (home, office or hotel) and performs your check-in, in person. Travel documents are checked, your luggage is sealed in your presence in order to guarantee inviolability. It is measured and weighed to check it conforms to the limits established by the airline company. Any potential excess weight and size is charged in accordance with airline company tables. We leave you with a slip/receipt for our service in place of the baggage ticket which we take together with your baggage in order to perform the necessary check-in procedures.

The day of your flight

All you need to do is drive to the airport and pick up your boarding pass and baggage ticket. You will be shown the boarding gate you should go to. Your luggage will accompany you on the same flight.


How to book the service

This service can be booked 24hr prior to the date of your flight by consulting the SkyBags website.

This service is available for all TAP operated flights departing from Lisbon Airport, except to the USA.

FAQ’s

Do all family members need to be present when Skybags arrives to conduct check-in?

Yes, all family members need to be present, and all travellers of age need to provide proper government issued ID at the time of check-in.

How do I know that my bag will not be tampered with or experience pilferage?
Skybags will do everything possible to ensure that your luggage arrives safely and intact. We will seal each bag with a security tag at the time of check-in. The only reason that seal is removed is if the TSA needs to conduct a search of your luggage at the airport. All of the seals are numbered and passengers are given a register of those numbers.

Can customers change their seat assignments, upgrade, or change their airline reservations with Skybags?
No. Upgrades and changes to reservations and seat assignments will need to be handled by your airline prior to our arrival.

How does SKYBAGS secure baggage and ensure that baggage arrives safely to the airport?
SKYBAGS is operating in strict accordance with all TSA and airline regulations regarding the handling of customer checked baggage.

Why do you need to pick up baggage the night before departure? Why can’t you just come to my home in the early morning?
Gathering customer baggage the night before departure ensures that all baggage will be screened without any delays.

Are there any restrictions on what I can pack or ship using SKYBAGS?
SKYBAGS can only accept items within the definition of the general baggage policy of the airlines. Please click here to view information regarding airline baggage policies.

Will SKYBAGS reimburse me for any lost, damaged, or misrouted luggage?
SKYBAGS will match the compensation contained within the baggage policy for your carrier in the event your baggage is delayed, lost, damaged or stolen.

Can I drop my bags off at your office instead of having you pick them up?
Not at this time. This type of service may be considered in the future based on customer demand.
