TAP A310 Final Flight

2008-07-11

The last A310 in the TAP fleet will make its final commercial flight in company service tomorrow July 12. The aircraft registered under CS-TEH and the name "Bartolomeu Dias" will depart Lisbon at 8am, destination Terceira in the Azores returning from the Azorean island on the same day and landing back in Lisbon for the final time in TAP livery at 1:50pm.

With the phasing out of the A310 CS-THE “Bartolomeu Dias” manufactured by Airbus in 1988, an important cycle in the renewal of the TAP long-haul fleet is concluded, during which the A310's that operated for 20 years in the service of the company and maintained high levels of performance and comfort have been replaced by more modern and efficient A330's.

With the end of flights with A310’s the TAP fleet is now comprised of a total of 53 aircraft: 19 A319's, 15 A320's, 3 A321's, 12 A330's and four A340's.
