Temporary exhibitions, museums, big opera and ballet nights; Geneva breathes culture, without being too boring. There are over 40 museums telling the story of the city, such as Musée Ariana or Musée d'Art et d'Histoire.

Music, theatre and cinema are Geneva's biggest cultural attractions. But this is a city with a lot of history, which offers you unforgettable moments in every corner. Start with the Grand Théâtre de Genève, inspired on the Paris Opera House. It hosts big opera and ballet shows, every day. Continue your cultural journey at Place Neuve, which hosts the Music Conservatory and the Rath Museum, internationally renowned for its temporary exhibitions. In the centre of the square, a statue portrays a national hero, General Henri Dufour. There are more than 40 museums in the city, as well as art galleries. Among these you can find Musée d'Art et d'Histoire, Musée Ariana or Patek Philippe Museum. Despite all the history they keep, the most well-known monument in the city is the Jet d'Eau, the tallest water fountain in the world. The most adventurous who think they've seen all the city has to offer, can go on a boat ride on Lake Geneva or climb the mountains for the incredible scenery that is this city seen from above.
