Toulouse’s proximity to the Pyrenees makes it well sought by ski lovers, snowboarders and fans of other winter sports. The truth is, even though the tracks are 80 to 100 kilometres away from the centre, they are one of the great attractions of the city.

About 85 kilometres away from the city, slightly more than an hour travelling, it is situated the Ski Resort Mont d’Olmes (www.montdolmes.com), whose winter season starts in mid December and lasts till the end of March. The daily forfeit costs around 20 Euros and one can ski and snowboard in several tracks. Other possibility is the Guzet resort (www.haut-couserans.com) with 31 tracks making up a total of 40 kilometres: six blacks, nine reds and nine blues (each colour representing the difficulty level). Here the forfeit is 26,65 Euros and the six-day pass costs 140 Euros. Already in Spanish territory but at 100 kilometres from Toulouse, there is the Ski Resort Baqueira Beret (www.baqueira.es). This is considered one of the best ski resorts in the country, situated at an altitude between 1500 and 2510 meters high. There are 104 kilometres of tracks for both beginners and more experienced skiers, including some freestyle parks for snowboard.
