With a very pleasant climate (330 sunny days per year) and an average temperature of 24 degrees, Malaga is a great destination for playing golf. Lovely landscapes, several fields with different levels of difficulty, hotel infrastructures and restaurants complete the offer of this Spanish region.

The region of Andalusia, especially the Costa del Sol is the paradise for golf in Spain. To understand this statement, simply state that between Cadiz and Malaga, there are 94 golf courses, with a higher concentration in the Costa del Sol (over 60). With an excellent climate, the province of Malaga also offers cities full of charm and character, such as Marbella, Ronda, Nerja and Casares, unique landscapes, idyllic beaches and, of course, excellent golf courses. Add to this, good food, the sea, and many high quality hotels. The Valderrama Golf Club is probably the best golf course in the region and one of Europe's finest. Built in 1974 we received the most important international events. It is 1.5 hours distance away from Malaga. According to its fame and quality it is one of the most expensive on the Costa del Sol, but every euro is worth it! Another area to be considered is the Santa Maria Golf Course, one of the most popular among practitioners. Located between Fuengirola and Marbella, the course requires from the practitioners some extra care, especially in the 5th and 6th hole. 100 kilometers from Malaga should also find the Alcaidesa Links Golf Course, with breathtaking views and the Rock of Gibraltar on the horizon.
