TAP Portugal

Take a look around the shops of the best known European designers or purchase a piece of art in one of its galleries. Crafts, ceramics, clocks, paintings, there is a little bit of everything in the city, including street artists and alternative shops.

Take a walk along the Grand-Rue and the Rue de la Poste. Both form the most luxurious thoroughfare in the city, since they host shops belonging to some of the most famous European designers, highly sought after in Luxembourg, this being one of the most prosperous countries in the European Union. You can even visit the art galleries of Luxembourg and become a "humble" owner, of one of their pieces that is. If, on the other hand, you prefer to spend somewhat less extravagantly, then take a visit to the Place d'Armes. In almost every street you will find shops that sell everything for a last minute souvenir or that little something that will always remind you of your visit to Luxembourg. Crafts, ceramics, clocks, paintings, there is a little bit of everything. The Place Guillaume II is a similar type of square. Even in the city centre, you will find markets, street artists, alternative shops, restaurants and traditional cafés. Luxembourg is also a city of books. You will find books in various languages and to suit all tastes in the “Chapter One” store or at Librairie Ernster. To buy articles of clothing visit the Avenue de la Gare. It is located near the train station and the bridge that connects the old town to the new town. The articles are of good quality and at affordable prices.
