A cosmopolitan city that invites for walks is certainly a great place for shopping. From boutiques, shoe and perfume shops full of French glamour to street markets where the handicraft stands out. And, of course, a visit to the various wine shops should not be forgotten.

One of the most popular areas for shopping is the well-situated Saint Georges Square. It is on this central spot of the city that shops of the most famous brands of clothing and accessories are concentrated. If France is the haute-couture homeland, Toulouse is considered one of the richest cities in the country. So you will find even more shops between Taur, d’Alsace-Lorraine, des Arts and de la Pomme streets. In between the most wanted souvenirs of this city stand out the airplane models and other materials from the aerospace industry. But the city also has several street markets for the tourist’s delight. The best known is held every Sunday morning, next to the Saint Sernin Basilica, and one can find all from clothing to antiques, second-hand items and décor pieces at friendly prices. It is also recommended a visit to the Pierre Fermat Street and the Gambetta Street, just next to the Fine Arts School, where some second-hand shops are a success.
