Now you can also check in in comfort via your mobile phone or tablet.


Mobile Check-in

From now on, TAP allows you to check in through your mobile phone via the FlyTAP Mobile, iPhone / iPod Touch, iPad and Android devices!

You can use Mobile Check-in for departures from the following cities to the whole TAP network:

Airports Requirements
Algiers, Accra, Bamako, Casablanca, Marrakech, Tangier, Sal, Sao Tome, Caracas Boarding cards are collected directly at the airport.
Belem, Belo Horizonte, Fortaleza, Manaus, Natal, Porto Alegre, Recife, Rio de Janeiro, Salvador You must go to the check-in desk at the airport so the boarding tax stamp can be placed on the boarding card.
Amsterdam, Barcelona, Belgrade, Bilbao, Bogota, Bologna, Bordeaux, Brussels, Bucharest, Copenhagen, Dakar, Stockholm, Faro, Funchal, Gothenburg, Hannover, Helsinki, Horta, Lisbon, London (Heathrow and Gatwick), Lyon, Luanda, Luxembourg, Madrid, Malaga, Manchester, Maputo, Marseille, Milan (Linate and Malpensa), Moscow, Nantes, Nice, Oslo, Panama City, Paris, Pico, Ponta Delgada, Porto, Porto Santo, Prague, Rome, Sao Paulo (Guarulhos), Sao Tome, Seville, St. Petersburg, Tallinn, Terceira, Toulouse, Valencia, Waraw, Venice  Not applicable.

Mobile Check-In Availability:

  • From 72 hours* to an hour and a half before flight departure. 
  • For passengers with an electronic ticket and confirmed booking on flights operated by TAP.
  • For passengers travelling with or without luggage. If you are travelling with luggage, check on the luggage drop-off tab which desks to use for luggage drop-off at the airports and what the time limits are.
  • Boarding closes 15 minutes before the plane’s departure time and if you are travelling with luggage you have to arrive before the times given in the Drop-off table.


Attention: Passengers travelling from Lisbon to Funchal (and vice-versa) on international flights continuing on to or returning from Caracas (flights with three-digit numbers, e.g. TP148, TP149, TP152) are required to go through passport control. For this reason you should arrive at the airport earlier than is normally required for domestic flights.

Due to government restrictions, TAP is only allowed to open its flights for check-in, to/from USA, 24h before the scheduled time of departure.

Exceptions for this service:

  • Service not available for those with resident and student tickets.
  • If you have been asked to confirm your credit card details in person at a TAP desk or at check-in, Mobile Check-in will not be possible.
  • Service not available to passengers who have special requests or needs on their booking, such as: unaccompanied minor service, wheelchair or other special assistance requests, pet transport in the cabin or in the hold.
  • Service not available for destinations with APIS (Advanced Passenger Information System - a system adopted by several countries, in which airlines gather specific information on each passenger).
