TAP’s in-flight magazine UP has just picked up Papier 2008 awards as “Best Portuguese Magazine” with its first edition and “Best Commercial Product Printed on a Rolling Press in Portugal”, with edition No.4. This is an initiative by Revista do Papel voted by representatives from the printing press industry in Portugal.
With these awards in hand, UP – dare to dream higher – will hold its Sao Joao Day celebrations at Casa da Musica in Porto on this coming June 5 with presentation of its edition dedicated to the “Former, Very Noble, Always Loyal and Unconquered” capital of the north of Portugal.
The TAP in-flight magazine selects the best in the city, includes the writing of Miguel Sousa Tavares and Richard Zimler and offers readers a unique tour of a city full of ancient and contemporary mysteries to discover. From fashion to architecture, major cultural institutions to the only alternative circuit in the country, UP guarantees readers all the sophistication of Porto.
But there is more. In addition to showcasing the best hotels in the north and major success cases in national industries, we travel to Amsterdam with the Fado singer Cristina Branco, discover the imperial town of Petropolis in Brazil and present the delights and flavors of the Vicentina Coast and Algarve with actors John Frey and Maria Joao Falcao.
