The Cistercian Monastery of S. Cristovão de Lafões, founded in the XII century, and rebuilt in its actual from at the end of the XVII century, was carefully renovated, the monastic ambiances and spaces having been duly preserved, combining today’s comfort with the historic, architectural and cultural tradition.
Its beautiful Tuscan style cloister and the conventual church (now parish church), with its remarkable appearance and decorated with beautiful paintings, warrant to be visited.
The Monastery has one suite and seven rooms as well as living and breakfast rooms, reception (with internet access) and a small bar, etc. all of which framed in one of the most beautiful sceneries in Portugal.
The Monastery is located between Oliveira de Frades and S.Pedro de Sul, has cultural, historical and architectonic relevance and is classified by IPPAR as a public interest monument.
