"UP" Magazine

On all short and long-haul flights, "UP" is the new in-flight magazine, replacing "Atlantis". It is a monthly magazine and like its predecessor contains articles and reports of interest, and also general information about TAP services.

NOVEMBER HIGHLIGHT

Prague: Heart of Europe

"Prague is considered the “heart of Europe”, not because it’s the only one on the Old Continent but because, nowadays, it boasts a unique combination of the old and new. The tourist haven that is the Czech capital, to which TAP offers daily flights, has a million residents and four million visitors every year.

The fabulous city of Prague, which this month’s edition of UP is dedicated to, deserves to be discovered at leisure, without a map, and without any pre-defined routes, because it’s in its quiet streets that its magic is hidden away, in the enchanting aura that makes it one of the world’s most appealing destinations. This is a cathedral-city of music, where an endless number of shows occurs every day in formal and improvised places, even in the streets of the city themselves. Prague has always spawned geniuses and it was here that Mozart had his first major success.

If I may say so, the pages of UP, which this month celebrates its first birthday, also deserve to be enjoyed in leisurely fashion. A year ago, UP made its debut with Lisbon on the cover and this edition sees us back in the capital, where TAP has its operational base, with with city specialist Marina Tavares Dias for a perfect weekend. We also bring you the success story of the most effective subsidiary of a great company, Microsoft Portugal.

In November, there is a whole new world of pleasures to discover aboard TAP’s fleet: films, songs, wine and food. While we’re on the subject of new things, you´ll be pleased to know that we´re continuing to work hard to provide you with an even better service. In this issue of UP we report on the progress of the innovations taking place at Lisbon airport, which will result in a highly comfortable pre-flight lounge, where which you can make the most of your time before boarding. (...)"
