TAP allows for the free hold area transport of luggage up to 20kg / 44Ib in the economy class, and 30kg / 66Ib in the executive class (with the exception of to the destinations of Brazil*, Venezuela, USA and Senegal, where the “piece concept” volume concept applies) and cabin luggage up to 6kg / 13Ib in the economy class and 10kg / 22Ib in the Top Executive class, as long as the sum of its dimensions does not exceed 115cm / 45in.

Victoria Gold and Silver members have different allowances when travelling with TAP:

Luggage should always be properly identified on the outside and inside, with name and address and should be properly closed using a key or lock. If a lock is not available, TAP can supply a high resistance seal to provide more security to the luggage of its clients.

Fragile objects, perishables, valuables or documents should not be transported as checked luggage.

The passenger should verify that receipts received when dispatching the luggage correspond to the desired destination.

In flights to Europe with connections in Lisbon, the destination should be the end of the client's trip.

Upon claiming luggage the passenger should make sure that the number of the ticket corresponds to the number of the receipt.

For the passenger’s own safety, the same should be instructed to not transport other people's pieces without knowing their content.

Luggage capacity should not be exceeded and physical resistance limitations should be respected.

Complaints about irregularities with luggage should be immediately reported to TAP employees upon claiming or reporting missing, before leaving or luggage delivery area.
