TAP has just launched a new notifications service that aims to improve contact with each one of its customers.
In order to use this service, passengers must provide their mobile phone number and/ or email when booking so that they can receive information regarding the status of their flight and access all the information necessary for a travel experience without surprises.
In the initial stages this service will send notifications in Portuguese and English in relation to certain situations regarding flight status:
- Changes to the flight scheduled: changes that occur to the departure;
- Readjustments: any change of flight date, flight number or route;
- Change to the departure gate: whenever there is a change to the original departure gate, passengers are informed via SMS;
- Notification of when check-in desks open: passengers are informed that they can check-in online or on mobile devices and, closer to the time of travel, passengers are reminded that they can check-in early, if they haven’t already done so.
