Due to a strike called for August 31st and September 1st at the handling agent that provides passenger and baggage assistance services to TAP at Portuguese airports, there may be disruption on some flights.

TAP regrets the situation and is actively working to minimize the inconvenience caused.

Before heading to the airport, we recommend that you check the status of your flight here. If it is confirmed, check in online and go to the airport in advance, avoiding taking checked luggage with you.

The quality of our Customers' digital experience begins with the ease of access to their Customer accounts, through the login area on our website and mobile application.

There are currently two types of Customer accounts: TAP and TAP Miles&Go.

From September 30, 2024, it will only be possible to create or maintain TAP Miles&Go Accounts.

To ensure you continue to receive the TAP Air Portugal information you need for your trips, you can create a TAP Miles&Go Account for free until September 30, 2024.

Due to space limitations on our aircrafts, during certain times of the year, purchase of extra baggage transportation is restricted for the following destinations and periods:

 

*Note: For the final destination Bissau, the summer embargo will be extended until 27th September 2024 and the Christmas/New Year period will start on 9th November 2024.
**For the final destination Dakar, the summer period will be from 8th June 2024 to 27th September 2024.
***For the final destination Praia, the summer period will be from 22nd June 2024 to 8th September 2024.

On trips to Accra, Bissau, Dakar, São Tomé and São Vicente and from Accra, excess hold baggage will not be allowed, apart from what is mentioned in the purchased fare, The maximum weight is 23 kg or 32 kg - depending on the fare - and the maximum dimension is 158 cm (sum of the three dimensions of height, width and length).

This restriction applies to all fares, regardless of the type of product purchased or Frequent Passenger status, with the exception of the Discount fare, in which it will be possible to add one (1) piece of hold baggage, within the weight and dimensions of hold baggage allowed by TAP.

We present our sincere apologies for any inconvenience that this situation may cause.

TAP informs that some customers are receiving fraudulent notifications via email, stating that they are entitled to receive compensation due to a delayed flight. This notification redirects to a link that is a fraud scheme. We advise our customers who receive this message to delete it without clicking on the link:
