Can I travel with my pet?

Yes. Depending on its weight, size and breed, animals can travel in the cabin or in the hold. The animal must have the health documents required by the destination country. Find out more here.

I have a short-nosed animal: can I travel with it?

Yes, if it complies with the regulations for travelling in the cabin. If it is too large and/or heavy to travel in the cabin, it will not be allowed to travel in the hold as we cannot guarantee the conditions necessary for your animal’s well-being.

What is the difference between an assistance animal (SVAN) and an emotional assistance animal (ESAN)?

An assistance animal (SVAN) is usually a dog trained to ensure the well-being and safety of people with special needs (e.g., people who are blind, deaf or with reduced mobility) and search and rescue dogs. Emotional assistance animals (ESAN) are dogs that help their owners retain their emotional balance.

Can I take an assistance animal (SVAN) into the aircraft cabin?

Yes. Passengers with special needs may make their request here up to 48 hours before departure. Special assistance will be provided at the airport right up to boarding upon request at the Special Assistance desk. Find out more here.

Can I take an emotional assistance animal (ESAN) into the aircraft cabin?

Yes, as long as it is within the allowed limits (size and/or weight) and breed. Read all the limits and regulations here.

Can I take my short-nosed emotional assistance animal into the aircraft cabin?

You can, if the animal is of a size and weight permitted to travel in the cabin. Find out more here.

Can my short-nosed emotional assistance animal travel in the hold?

No. We are not allowed to carry this kind of animal in the hold for bookings made after 17 September 2018. Find out more here.
