Important information
- Documentation control at the border: All passengers traveling to or from countries outside the Schengen area or making intercontinental journeys will be subject to a documentation check by the Portuguese authorities.At the airport, it is advisable to attend to the border control in time, as all passengers will undergo an interview, and the waiting time may vary.
- The Entry / Exit System (EES) is the new European border control system for registering the entry and exit of non-EU nationals travelling to Europe for a short stay (up to a maximum of 90 days within a 180-day period). Find out more.
Check the times and all available Check-in methods, and choose the one that best suits you. Please note that, regardless of the chosen Check-in method, you must ensure that you arrive at your flight's boarding gate at least 30 minutes before the scheduled departure time.
All services listed below are available to passengers with a confirmed booking on flights operated by TAP or TAP Express.
Online check-in
Use your computer, tablet, or cell phone and Check-in earlier via flyTAP or the TAP App, available from:
- 24h before boarding on flights to or from the USA, due to government restrictions;
- 36h before boarding for other flights.
