Can I transport alcoholic drinks in the hold?
Yes, with the exception of homemade drinks. However, the rules for the transport of alcoholic beverages vary according to the percentage of alcohol:
Alcoholic drinks - up to 24% alcohol:
Beverages containing less than 24% of alcohol may be transported with the restriction that the quantity must not exceed the amount allowed by the air import laws of the destination's country. All drinks should be properly packaged in their own packaging, so as to prevent them from parting, and must be transported in the original packaging (retail packaging). TAP Air Portugal is not responsible for breaking containers or spilling alcoholic beverages.
