How will you be notified of a flight disruption?
If your flight has been disrupted we will notify you by e-mail and/or text message to the e-mail address and/or phone number provided at the time of booking. If you didn’t provide contacts you can check the status of your flight here.
If you have received our SMS indicating that your flight was disrupted, we are looking for a flight alternative for you. A message will be sent to your email with a link to our flight rebooking tool. Due to the high number of cancellations, there may be a delay in receiving your notification with the alternative flight that we have found for you. With this tool you will be able to check all available travel options and change your flight immediately. Please avoid going to the airport, as the due to the strike our assistance capacity will be reduced.
Overnight accommodation and meals
We will always do our best to provide customers with overnight accommodation but in times of widespread disruption, as this one, that is not always possible and we may ask you to find your own accommodation.
Depending on the waiting time until your new flight, meals and drinks will be provided (usually by voucher) and we will refund applicable expenses.

If you wish to cancel your trip, TAP will refund the full cost of the flights you do not take. Refunds are irreversible and include all unused ticket segments. To request the cancellation of your trip and claim a refund for your ticket, please click here.
Note: If you have received a cancellation notification and have accepted our alternative flight option, there is no need to contact us. If you have received a notification regarding the cancellation of your flight and want to change the flight we are offering you but have not received a link to access the flight rescheduling tool, please contact us via our Contact Center. Avoid waiting lines. If your baggage has not arrived at your destination, please let us know immediately by filling out the Lost & Found online form within 24 hours of landing.
Track your baggage:
After completing the form, you can stay up-to-date on the process of locating your baggage.
You can consult our baggage locator at any time and edit its details at any time by using the registration number which was provided to you when filling out the form.
As soon as we locate your baggage, we will use the information you provided (date of stay and address) to send the baggage to the address on file. In case we have any doubt, we will contact you via the phone number you have provided on the lost baggage report.

Use of a face mask is mandatory on board all TAP flights. Therefore, all our passengers must be equipped with one and guarantee that it is used during the entire duration of the journey.
Baggage is carried in the hold for free on all flights except for tap|discount. If so, please be advised that you may purchase this service in the next step.
If you are traveling with checked luggage and have a connecting flight in Brazil, the United States or Canada, be sure to collect your luggage for customs control in these countries. Then follow the directions and go to the luggage transfer point.
