Awarded a Michelin Star, Chef Rui Paula is considered one of the main national and international references of gastronomy. His dishes take memory as the main source of inspiration, preserving flavours and summoning to the senses colours, aromas and abundant originality.

His restaurants offer different gastronomic experiences. The Rui Paula Recife Restaurant is a bridge between Portuguese and Brazilian flavours. DOC is an unrivalled restaurant in the Douro, a special place among food, wine and landscape. DOP is a return to his origins, the city of Porto, giving us reminders of old tastes and textures. Casa do Chá da Boa Nova, classified as a National Heritage Building and distinguished with a Michelin Star, embraces the sea at Leça da Palmeira and awakens the senses.

He is regularly invited to participate in prestigious events linked to gastronomy and wine. He has won numerous awards, including nine Gold Medals and four Silver Medals at the "Gastronomy with Port" competition.
