TAP’s Operation from March 23 to May 4

As of March 23, TAP initiates a new operation plan, which should remain in effect until May 4. This adjustment takes into consideration the current situation that has imposed mobility restrictions on everyone, as the main measure to contain and eradicate the coronavirus COVID-19, with border closures and declarations of states of emergency by government authorities, where the Company operates.

However, we will keep part of our operation ready to respond, with the mission of transporting the Portuguese and our Clients to their families, on the routes where it is still possible to operate.

We ask that you contact us, by phone, only if you are unable to use our website and if your trip is scheduled for the next 72 hours.

If you ticket is within the conditions mentioned on this page, we recommend that the free change of your ticket or the request of the refund voucher be made online through Manage Booking.

Our Contact Center is receiving an extremely high amount of calls and regret the inconvenience that this situation may cause our passengers. We are making every effort to help all our Clients. Operation for my destination and flight has been canceled:
After the request, the voucher will be issued for the value of the unused ticket and no re-routing will be allocated. The voucher will be sent by email and will be valid for a future purchase with TAP.

Operation to my destination remains but my flight has been canceled:
If you want to be rerouted on another flight, you must contact TAP. Alternatively, you can request the issuance of a voucher for the value of unused ticket here. The voucher will be sent by email and will be valid for a future purchase with TAP.

I want to change / cancel my journey: 
Change or cancel your trip in advance.
Use Manage Booking to change the dates of your flight(s) online and without paying the change fee. One change fee is waived per reservation.
Alternatively, you can request the issuance of a voucher for the value of the unused ticket. The voucher will be sent by email and will be valid for a future purchase with TAP.

Conditions for free change:

  1. Valid for tickets with original travel date until May 31, 2020;
  2. Free change fee, but fare differential is charged when applicable;
  3. Change must be made up to 24 hours before the departure of your first flight;
  4. One free change per reservation, subsequent changes are charged in accordance to fare rules;
  5. Change can be for dates and/or routes, in accordance to the fare rules; (Only date changes can be made through Manage Booking, for route changes you will need to contact the Contact Center.)
  6. New travel date to depart until December 31, 2020;
  7. Valid only for TAP operated flights;
  8. Valid only for reservations in which no flight has been flown;
  9. The validity period of the ticket cannot be extended;
  10. New flight dates must be within the validity period of the ticket;
  11. Valid for Corporate tickets;
  12. Valid for award's tickets (paid with miles), change only can be done via the Contact Center.
