About Corações Com Coroa

Corações Com Coroa was founded in 2012 and has NGO status. It arose from the commitment of its founder, Catarina Furtado, as a Goodwill Ambassador of the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) to defend Human Rights from the perspective of promoting gender equality through projects dedicated to empower girls and women, along with various events to support refugees and migrants.

Ongoing Projects

Corações Com Coroa goes to School 
Corações Com Coroa provides scholarships and guarantees free psychological or social service consultations and legal and dental support for young people and women. Under the artistic-pedagogical project "Corações Com Coroa goes to School", the association works with 9th grade students on dating violence and bullying.
International activity
The "Tamo Junto" project with Guinea-Bissau, for the health of all women, youth and children, set up and equipped a new obstetrics and gynaecology wing at the Simão Mendes National Hospital Maternity Hospital. Currently the association continues to provide equipment, professional training and the delivery of a "Dignity Kits", to mothers and babies, with personal hygiene products.
The CCC Café
The CCC Café (Corações Com Coroa) opened its doors in 2017. It is a social business model, which arose from the desire to welcome the community and promote outreach actions related to Human Rights. It is a community space, with a programme linked to the CCC work themes with a concern for social job creation. You can visit it at Rua da Junqueira, in Lisbon.
