TAP has partnered with Deutshe Bahn for Rail & Fly in Germany and Switzerland.
This partnership allows our passengers to travel between the Deutsche Bahn-franchise train stations and the airports of Frankfurt, Hamburg, Munich, Dusseldorf, Berlin, Stuttgart, Cologne and Basel.

Purchasing the ticket and conditions of use
Tickets can only be purchased through the TAP Contact Center.
Your Rail & Fly ticket is valid on normal Deutsche Bahn services, including InterCityExpress (ICE), InterCity (IC) and EuroCity (EC). First class train travel is included when travelling Executive Class, standard class train travel is included when travelling Economy Class.
Special trains like Thalys, sleeper-car trains and suburban public transportation are not included in this partnership arrangement. Additional charges must be paid to travel on ICE Sprinter and City Night Line trains.
Printing the Deutsche Bahn travel tickets
After purchasing the ticket you will receive your Rail & Fly codes by email, together with your plane ticket:
- The code to print the one-way Deutsche Bahn ticket to the airport must be entered in one of the ticket vending machines located in the train station. It can be printed up to 3 days (or 72 hours) before the departure date of the reserved flight.
- The code for printing the return ticket can only be used on the date of return. Enter the code in one of the ticket vending machines at the Deutsche Bahn station.
- Alternatively, the ticket can be downloaded and printed from the Deutsche Bahn website up to 72 hours before traveling.
