The transport of dangerous items by air is not permitted. These include:
- Corrosive – (mercury, acids and electrolytic batteries);
- Explosives and Ammunition – (pyrotechnic articles, fireworks and ammunition);
- Toxic – (insecticides or pesticides);
- Oxidants and Organic Peroxides – (bleaches, fiberglass and fertilizers);
- Compressed Gases – (butane, propane, oxygen and diving cylinders);
- Flammable Liquids and Solids – (lighters or combustible products, paints, matches, components of vehicles that may have contained fuel);
- Radioactive Material – (certain measuring instruments and medical isotopes);
- Infectious – (bacteria, viruses or body fluid analysis materials);
- Magnetic items – (they may interfere with the aircraft equipment).
Some articles, although containing hazardous substances, may be transported following approval. This must be requested at the time of booking.
