Take part in our auctions and travel in greater comfort. Choose a seat with extra space in Economy, or opt for an Upgrade to Economy Prime (on long-haul flights) or Business.
How to participate in the auction
1 - Check your flight availability
- Check if my flight is eligible (bid up to 36h prior to the flight or up to 24h for flights to / from the USA).
- Check if my flight is eligible (bidding in the last 24h before the flight for all flights).
2 - Place your bid
Bid the amount you want to pay to travel in Business, using your credit card or your miles (1) from the TAP Miles&Go Programme.
- Place a bid (bid up to 36 hours before the flight or up to 24 hours prior for flights to / from the USA).
- Place a bid (bid in the last 24 hours before the flight for all flights).
(1) If you choose to bid in the last 24 hours before the flight, payment is only available via credit card.
3 - Watch for confirmation
Enter the amount you would like to bid, using your credit card or TAP Miles&Go Programme miles (1), so you can have your preferred seat on board. Simply place your bid and wait for:
- you will receive a confirmation email (if you choose to bid up to 36h before the flight or up to 24h prior for flights to / from the USA) or
- a message in the bidding application (if you choose to bid in the last 24h before any flight). If the amount is not accepted, you will not be charged anything and the conditions of your original ticket will remain in place.
(1) Payment with miles is only available for bids placed up to 36 hours before the flight (or up to 24 hours before a flight to / from the USA).
