TAP Miles&Go Programme benefits and types of miles

The TAP MilesGo Programme was designed to reward our Customers by offering them exclusive benefits as they earn more miles.

The Programme offers four statuses, each with different benefits, which you can enjoy by earning Status Miles. Additionally, as a TAP Miles&Go Programme Customer, you can earn Bonus Miles to use however you wish.

What are Status Miles?

Status Miles are miles that contribute to earning or maintaining your status, and are valid for one year (annual earning period of Status Miles);
The primary way to earn Status Miles is by traveling - whether with TAP or other airlines within the Star Alliance network. Although there are some limits, you can also earn Status Miles through some of our partners;
The more Status Miles you earn, the faster you can unlock the Programme's higher statuses and enjoy exclusive benefits.

What are Bonus Miles?

Bonus Miles are miles in your account balance that you can accumulate or redeem for booking trips, flight extras, and everyday activities with exclusive partners;
You can earn these miles not only during your flights, but also on the ground, in your daily life, through our partners;
These miles do not count towards earning or maintaining your status in the Programme.

TAP Miles&Go

When you join the Programme, you are automatically assigned a TAP Miles&Go Status and a Customer Number (TP). After that, you will be able to earn Status Miles and Bonus Miles.

When travelling on flights departing from Lisbon to mainland Portugal and the islands, Europe and North Africa, you can also access the TAP Lounges in Lisbon, limited to four uses per Customer per Annual Qualification Period.

Bonus Miles with no expiration date
Renew your Gold status and keep your miles and use them whenever you want. This benefit is not available to Gold Partners (1).
No-fee changes in Ponte Aérea flights
If you bring forward a Ponte Aérea flight on the same day, you won't have to pay the change fee.
Year-Off
For Customers who have been TAP Miles&Go Gold members for at least five consecutive years, as well as TAP Miles&Go Club subscribers (2).
Free Gold status for a friend (Gold Partner)
Gift Gold status to another TAP Miles&Go Customer and share most of the benefits of your status (3). This offer is valid as long as you maintain your status. To request any changes, you must wait until the end of your annual earning period of Status Miles.

(1) Applies only to miles that expire in the current miles annual earning period of Status Miles.
(2) The maximum Year-Off period is 12 months, based on the Customer's annual earning period of Status Miles. The Customer may submit the request prior to the status reassessment, and the Year-Off will be valid only until the end of their next annual earning period of Status Miles. To enjoy this benefit, the customer must have an active TAP Miles&Go Club membership (Basic Club memberships are excluded from this offer) and must have held TAP Miles&Go Gold status for at least five years. To activate your membership, please contact TAP Miles&Go Customer Service. This offer is renewable after at least 5 years as a TAP Miles&Go Gold Customer. This benefit is not available to Gold partners, designated Customers (Gold Partners) or Gold Corporate Customers.
(3) Only Customers who obtained their Gold status through Status Miles or flown segments can gift Gold status to a friend. Customers who obtained their status through other means (such as Gold Partners, Status Match Customers, Corporate Partners, Designated Customers, campaign Customers or others) are not eligible for this offer.

(1) To remain a Gold Customer, you need to earn 50.000 Status Miles or complete 40 TAP flights / segments during the Annual Status Miles Period. Gold Partners, Gold Corporate and / or campaign partners renew their status by meeting the conditions outlined in "Become a Gold Customer" (70.000 Status Miles or 50 segments on TAP flights). These conditions do not apply to Status Match Customers, who must meet specific status renewal conditions based on the applicable campaign.
