TAP Donate Miles is TAP’s social responsibility initiative integrated into the TAP Miles&Go Program, which gives customers the possibility to donate miles to partner organizations. These organizations can then exchange the miles for flights and bring help where it is needed.
Applications open for TAP Donate Miles for the 2026–2028 triennium
Interested organizations may apply until 28 February to benefit from this support. Please refer to the ‘How to become a partner entity’ section for the conditions required to apply to the TAP Donate Miles program.
The TAP Donate Miles Program currently has six partner organizations — Apoiar, Leigos para o Desenvolvimento, Make-A-Wish, Orbis, Sol Sem Fronteiras and Refood — which can benefit from miles donated by TAP Customers to support their social and humanitarian missions. Donate your miles and help these organizations extend the impact of their work even further.

Leigos para o Desenvolvimento
In 2025, LEIGOS PARA O DESENVOLVIMENTO followed a group of women from the Samora Machel neighborhood in Tete (Mozambique), creators of the project “Akazi Wakumuza Andzao” (“Women who lift other women”). A diagnosis was carried out to understand the reality of a neighborhood with around 70,000 inhabitants and to guide the intervention in 2026.
In São Tomé and Príncipe, in the community of Praia Melão, Leigos strengthened the economic and social capacities of women, especially the palaiês, supporting two local associations in structural adaptation.

Make-A-Wish
In 2025, MAKE-A-WISH, with the support of the TAP Donate Miles – Causas com Asas program, granted 15 wishes, directly impacting 53 passengers. The reach of these wishes goes far beyond, touching families, hospital professionals, partners, and everyone involved in these experiences.
In addition to these 15 wishes, there was the special experience of Tiago, who was able to visit the TAP hangar, a moment full of meaning and emotion, showing how small gestures can create unforgettable memories and transform lives.

Refood
In 2025, REFOOD began expanding internationally to Valencia, Madrid, Berlin, and Luanda, addressing food waste and insecurity.
Supported by Causas com Asas and international partners, the first phase included exploratory trips and meetings to assess adapting and replicating the REFOOD model in different urban contexts.

Apoiar
In 2025, APOIAR – Portuguese Association for Support to Africa, with the support of donated miles, sent its teams to Mozambique to strengthen project management on the ground.
In the provinces of Niassa, Tete, and Sofala, it carried out initiatives in maternal and child health, education, sponsorship, distribution of discontinued TAP blankets, school meals, youth training, access to clean energy, and community livelihood support.

Orbis
In 2025, ORBIS – Cooperation and Development was active in Angola, Guinea-Bissau, and São Tomé and Príncipe, supporting local projects. In Angola, it monitored shelters for at-risk children and young people and developed proposals in the field of education.
In Guinea-Bissau, highlights include the sponsorship project “ONE Child, ONE Future!” and the awarding of scholarships through “My Dream Is to Study!”. In São Tomé and Príncipe, the kitchen and canopy of the Santo Isidoro Nursery in Ribeira Afonso were inaugurated, and new local handicraft products were purchased for the Solidarity Shop.

Sol Sem Fronteiras
In 2025, SOL SEM FRONTEIRAS carried out projects in Guinea-Bissau, Mozambique, and Brazil. In Guinea-Bissau, it monitored and evaluated ongoing initiatives, including preparations for opening the P. Jonas Kindergarten in Safim and reviewing education and inclusion projects.
In Brazil, in São Paulo, it supported volunteer and socio-educational development projects for children and youth. In Mozambique, in Nampula, it identified the “Build to Include” project, focused on inclusive early childhood education.
