What is the Fixed Price Upgrade?

The Fixed Price Upgrade allows you to change your seat from Economy to Economy Prime, from Economy to Business, or from Economy Prime to Business, for a fixed fee. This amount is set by TAP and varies according to the airport of origin and destination. It is available from the opening of Check-in until two hours before the flight’s departure.*

*except for Upgrades requested at the airport.

How to buy

You can purchase your Fixed Price Upgrade to Economy Prime or Business using one of the following options:

Manage your Booking: as soon as your flight online Check-in is available, access Manage your Booking and click on the Fixed Price Upgrade link to check availability.
Online Check-in: you may also receive a proposal during the online Check-in process up to 24h before your flight.
Airport: you can request your Upgrade at the Check-in desk or at the boarding gate, 2h before your flight departure. Ask the agent for the necessary information.
Contact Center: you must indicate that you want an Upgrade to the Contact Center, agent, who will verify that the conditions are met to perform the Upgrade.

Please note that the Upgrade service is subject to seat availability and certain conditions.

Important Information

The Upgrade is subject to seat availability and will always be applied to each flight segment, so the benefits will only apply to the segment on which the Upgrade is made - except for the fare conditions, which will remain those of the original ticket.
Upgrade to Economy Prime or Business at Check-in desk or at the gate does not change the baggage allowance (number of pieces or weight) included in the original fare.

Conditions

To purchase the Upgrade, your flight’s Check-in must be open;
In order to Upgrade through Manage your Booking, Check-in must not have been completed;
The Upgrade is made per flight segment and for all Customers on the booking;
If you do not wish the Upgrade to be made for all Customers on the booking, you must contact our TAP Contact Center or an agent at the airport;
This service is available only on flights operated by TAP or on its behalf, and on flights operated by TAP Express;
The Upgrade is subject to availability in Economy Prime or Business;
The amount paid for the Upgrade is non-refundable, as are any paid services associated with the booking. If you cancel the Check-in, the Upgrade is canceled;
Some tickets may not be eligible for Fixed Price Upgrade due to restrictions such as seats for passengers with special needs, seat availability, ticket type, routes, group bookings, special meals and other TAP policies. These restrictions ensure compliance with the law and guarantee suitable seats for all passengers;
This service is non-transferable;
In case of Upgrade, earning TAP Miles&Go miles is based on the Class and fare initially reserved.
