The TAP Miles&Go Programme has three different Customer status: TAP Miles&Go, Silver and Gold.The basic level is TAP Miles&Go. Depending on your number of Status Miles or number of flights (segments) on TAP-operated flights, you may reach the other two levels: Silver and Gold.For more details on the three TAP Miles&Go Programme levels, click here.
For TAP Miles&Go Silver Customer status, you will have to earn 30,000 Status Miles or take 25 TAP-operated flights (segments) in your yearly qualification period. Your status will be changed as soon as you reach this total., To maintain TAP Miles&Go Silver status you must earn 20,000 status miles or fly 15 segments operated by TAP. If you are unable to maintain Silver status, you will return to TAP Miles&Go status.
To achieve TAP Miles&Go Gold Customer status in that annual period, you have to earn 70,000 Status Miles or take 50 TAP-operated flights (segments). Your annual qualification period starts the month following the one when you joined., To maintain TAP Miles&Go Gold status you must earn 50,000 status miles or fly 40 segments operated by TAP. If you are unable to earn enough status miles keep your TAP Miles&Go Gold membership, we will offer you TAP Miles&Go Silver membership.
Annual qualification period – example: You joined the TAP Miles&Go Programme on 12 March 2010. Your Status Miles and TAP-operated flight (segment) count goes from 1 April 2010 to 31 March 2011, and so on. After the start of your new annual qualification period, you will start earning Status Miles or TAP-operated flights (segments) to keep your Silver or Gold Customer status.
You can do so under "Edit Profile" on your TAP Miles&Go Account.
The annual qualification period is the time in which you can qualify to move to a higher Customer status or qualify again for your current status.
TAP Miles&Go Customer: Your annual qualification period starts the month after you join. You then have 12 months to earn Status Miles or take TAP-operated flights (segments) and qualify for Silver Status.
For example: You joined the TAP Miles&Go Programme on 12 March 2010. Your Status Miles and TAP-operated flight (segment) count goes from 1 April 2010 to 31 March 2011. The date you joined is indicated in your TAP Miles&Go Customer account.
There is no stipulated number of Status Miles or TAP-operated flights (segments) to keep your TAP Miles&Go status. However, if you meet the requirements during the annual qualification period, you will be able to move up to the next status, Silver Customer, which offers more advantages.
TAP Miles&Go Silver and Gold Customer Status: To keep your current status or qualify for a higher level, you need to earn either the necessary number of Status Miles (30,000 Silver Customer or 70,000 Gold Customer) or take the number of TAP-operated flights (segments) (25 Silver Customer or 50 Gold Customer) in your annual qualification period.
You can ask our Assistance Center to change your profile name by using the form available on the website and providing proof of the name change.
No. If you travel under a name other than the one on your TAP Miles&Go Account, you will not be eligible for any status benefits during your trip, nor will you be able to earn miles automatically. For your trip benefits to be acknowledged, you must use your first and last name when making your booking, as per your ID, and the name on the booking must match the one on your TAP Miles&Go Customer card.
