What is the Fixed Price Upgrade?
he Fixed Price Upgrade allows you to change your seat from Economy to Business for a fixed fee. This amount is set by TAP and varies according to the airport of origin and destination. It is available from the opening of Check-in until two hours before the flight’s departure.*
*except for Upgrades requested at the airport.
How to buy
You can purchase your Fixed Price Upgrade to Business Class using one of the following options:
- Manage your Booking: as soon as your flight online Check-in is available, access Manage your Booking and click on the Fixed Price Upgrade link to check availability.
- Online Check-in: you may also receive a proposal during the online Check-in process up to 24h before your flight.
- Airport: you can request your Upgrade at the Check-in desk or at the boarding gate, 2h before your flight departure. Ask the agent for the necessary information.
- Contact Center: you must indicate that you want an Upgrade to the Contact Center, agent, who will verify that the conditions are met to perform the Upgrade.
Please note that the Upgrade service is subject to seat availability and certain conditions.
Important Information
- The Upgrade is subject to seat availability and will always be applied to each flight segment, so the benefits will only apply to the segment on which the Upgrade is made - except for the fare conditions, which will remain those of the original ticket.
- Upgrade to Business at Check-in or at the gate does not change the baggage allowance (number of pieces or weight) included in the original fare.
