Baggage

Answers to your questions about luggage during your entire journey.
The piece concept is based on the number of pieces of luggage that passengers are allowed to carry.
The weight concept is based on the total weight of luggage that passengers are allowed to carry.
TAP currently uses the piece concept on all operating flights. The same applies to TAP Express flights.
The cabin bag is the baggage that you can carry with you in the cabin in addition to a personal item. Check this link to see the cabin baggage that is allowed on your trip.

It will depend on your flight ticket conditions. In accordance with International Occupational Health and Safety Standards, TAP does not carry bags or other pieces of luggage weighing more than 32 kg. Bags/volumes weighing more that 32kg must be carried as cargo.

Alcoholic drinks - up to 24% alcohol:
Beverages containing less than 24% of alcohol may be transported with the restriction that the quantity must not exceed the amount allowed by the air import laws of the destination's country. All drinks should be properly packaged in their own packaging, so as to prevent them from parting, and must be transported in the original packaging (retail packaging). TAP Air Portugal is not responsible for breaking containers or spilling alcoholic beverages.

No For safety reasons, it is not allowed to transport this type of items. However, it is possible to carry these devices as cargo. For more information, check the TAP Air Cargo website.
You can carry them in the cabin, but you should not carry them in the hold, as electronic equipment is fragile and can be damaged easily. If you are unable to transport your electronic equipment in the cabin — due to baggage limitations and capacity — we suggest that you transport it as cargo via TAP Air Cargo. To transport baggage items, visit the Special Baggage page and learn how to transport your items.
