SEF (Portuguese Immigration and Borders Service) general strike

Following notice of a SEF general strike taking place on May 7th, TAP informs its passengers that the normal operation of border control for intercontinental and non-Schengen flights can be affected, both in departures and arrivals. In order to avoid delays in flights or even non-attendance, TAP advises all passengers scheduled to travel on this date to non-schengen countries, to arrive at Portuguese airports at least 4 hours prior to departure. We recommend that passengers preferably use automatic control machines if they carry electronic identity documents.

Although this strike is beyond our control, we apologize for any inconvenience this situation may cause and we would like to reaffirm our commitment to minimize the effects of this strike on our customers’ travel plans.
