Traveling to Madeira

The Health Authority of the Autonomous Region of Madeira intends to monitor the risk associated with the disease by the novel Coronavirus (Covid-19). Therefore, we request your cooperation in completing this questionnaire, 24 to 48 hours prior to your joruney.

Passengers can also submit the result of their COVID-19 (PCR) test, done at a laboratory certified by national or international authorities, with a negative test result 72 hours prior to their arrival, to the following e-mail uo.bjesus@iasaude.madeira.gov.pt and/or by contacting the following numbers: (+351) 291 238 099 ou (+351) 291 208 700.

Traveling to the Azores - Procedures to be followed

All passengers disembarking at the airports of Ponta Delgada, on the island of S. Miguel, or Lajes, on the island of Terceira, coming from airports located in areas considered by the World Health Organization to be areas of active community transmission or with active transmission chains of the SARS-CoV-2 virus, are required to fulfill, alternatively, one of the following procedures:
  1. Submit proof, in paper form, of a document issued by an accredited laboratory for the testing of COVID-19, attesting to the SARS-CoV-2 screening test, within 72 hours prior to the departure the airport of origin. The document must state the passenger's identification, the laboratory where it was performed, the date of the test, the signature of the person responsible for carrying out the test, and the NEGATIVE result. In this case, and if the stay is extended for seven or more days, the passenger must, on the 5th and 13th day, counting from the date of the SARS-CoV-2 screening test, if the stay is for the mentioned duration or more, contact the health authority of the municipality where you reside or are staying, with the objective of conducting a new SARS-CoV-2 screening test, done by the local health authority, the result of which you will be notified within 24 hours; or
  2. Complete a screening test for SARS-CoV-2, done by the local health authority, with the collection of biological samples upon arrival, and must remain, in prophylactic isolation, in a hotel room indicated for this purpose until the result of said test NEGATIVE, in which the amount of time between the collection of the samples and the NEGATIVE test result must not exceed 48 hours. In this case, and if the stay is extended for seven or more days, the passenger must, on the 5th and 13th day, counting from the date of the SARS-CoV-2 screening test, if the stay is for the mentioned duration or more, contact the health authority of the municipality where you reside or are staying, with the objective of conducting a new SARS-CoV-2 screening test, done by the local health authority, the result of which you will be notified within 24 hours; or
  3. Carry out voluntary quarantine for a consecutive period of fourteen days in a hotel indicated for this purpose, prior to the end of the mentioned period, biological samples will be collected and a SARS-CoV-2 screening test to be done by the local health authority; or
  4. Return to the destination of origin or travel to any destination outside the Region, in which case until the time of the flight mandatory prophylactic isolation in a hotel indicated for the purpose must be fulfilled;
In the cases referred to in paragraphs a) and b) passengers must comply with prophylactic isolation at their home, or at the hotel where they are staying, until the result of the test carried out on the 14th day is known.

In cases where the SARS-CoV-2 virus test result is POSITIVE, the local health authority, within the scope of its powers, will determine the procedures to be followed.

Desinfectante de manos a base de alcohol.

La cantidad neta total de todos esos artículos transportados por cada pasajero no debe exceder los 2 kg o 2 L y la cantidad neta de cada artículo no debe exceder los 0.5 kg o 0.5 L.

El desinfectante de manos a base de alcohol es aceptable como equipaje de mano o equipaje de bodega. Sin embargo, debe tenerse en cuenta que cuando los pasajeros desean tener el desinfectante de manos en su equipaje de mano, se aplica el límite de 100 ml o equivalente por artículo para líquidos y geles de acuerdo con las disposiciones de seguridad de la aviación.

La restricción de seguridad (100 ml) no se aplica a los pasajeros que llevan el desinfectante de manos en vuelos que salen de Portugal. Para vuelos que salen de otros países, estas restricciones pueden variar según el criterio de cada Autoridad Nacional.

Restricciones de equipaje en los vuelos con destino/salida de Abiyán, Accra, Bissau, Dakar, Lomé, Praia, São Vicente y Santo Tomé.

Debido a limitaciones de espacio en nuestros aviones durante algunos periodos del año, le informamos de que la compra de equipaje extra está restringida en viajes con los siguientes destinos:
  • Con destino a Abiyán, Accra, Bissau, Dakar, Lomé, Praia, São Vicente y Santo Tomé: 
    • Semana Santa: del 28 de marzo al 12 de abril de 2020
    • Verano: del 13 de junio al 30 de agosto de 2020
    • Navidad: del 11 de diciembre de 2020 al 10 de enero de 2021
  • Con salida de Abiyán, Accra y Lomé:
    • Semana Santa: del 13 de abril al 20 de abril de 2020
    • Verano: del 13 de junio al 13 de septiembre de 2020
    • Año nuevo: del 26 de diciembre de 2020 al 10 de enero de 2021
Los viajes que tengan como destino Abiyán, Accra, Bissau, Dakar, Lomé, Praia, Santo Tomé o San Vicente, o que partan de Abiyán, Accra o Lomé, no permitirán el exceso de equipaje (en peso o dimensiones) de la franquicia asociada a la tarifa, la compra de bultos de equipaje extra ni el transporte de animales, equipos deportivos o instrumentos musicales en la bodega. Solo se aceptará el número de equipajes indicado en el billete y cuya suma de dimensiones (alto, ancho y largo) no supere los 158 cm, con un peso máximo de 23 kg, en clase económica, y de 32 kg en clase ejecutiva.

La limitación se aplica a todos los billetes, independientemente del tipo de producto adquirido o del estatus de pasajero frecuente, con excepción de los billetes tap|discount, en los que solo será posible añadir un bulto de equipaje.
