- No hold baggage - If you check-in online, via the mobile application or at the self check-in kiosks, you can go directly to the boarding gate. However, at Algiers, Accra, Casablanca, Marrakech and Tangier airports you should go to a check-in desk to get this access.
- With hold baggage - You must leave it at the drop-off desk in the airport.

TAP informs its passengers that the waiting time required for documentation control at national airports borders may be longer than 30 minutes. In order to avoid flights delays or even no-shows, TAP advises all passengers trips intercontinentally and to/from non-Schengen countries to check the waiting time at the border and plan their trip to the respective counters in advance. TAP also recommends the use of automatic control machines for holders of electronic identification documents.
